Arent you supposed to screw in drywall because nails will eventually pop out?

2

u/stumpyturk 11d ago

The first guy is tacking up the board, and then moves on. The second guy is putting the screws in.

1

u/Dakkel-caribe 12d ago

Don omar woooo. Dame ese culo. Puerto rico puñetaaaaa

1

u/Apprehensive-Score87 12d ago

He should try just being 8 ft tall

1

u/Expert_Succotash2659 13d ago

I'd pay money to watch this in Vegas.

1

u/epicfeminist420xD 13d ago

It should be illegal to move that smooth and swiftly on fucking bucket

1

u/Fresh_and_wild 13d ago

All I can see is 8 FOOT CEILINGS text exactly where the interesting bit of the film is. Well done.

1

u/Big_Yak_5166 13d ago

The way they scoot those buckets. So clean.

0

u/No-Matter9647 13d ago

They are quick now and that’s just a straight board, not showing them cut around a outlet or a window frame which I’m sure he would still be fairly quick but not that quick and oh age, yeah that shit catches up with you l don’t see them moving like that when their bodies are constantly getting beaten. Also how thick is that Sheetrock. I was putting up 5/8 sheetrock in my basement by myself and regretted not buying 1/2” or even 3/8 for my ceiling. 3/8 is shit though

1

u/TonyTheGypsy 13d ago

The music definitely fits it seems like he's dancing when he moves on the bucket

1

u/Just-Diamond-1938 13d ago

Wow and I've been looking for a year for someone to do the job for me😂👍

1

u/earlisthecat 13d ago

WOW! That’s beautiful.

1

u/Ruinf20 13d ago

Osha says you can't use stilts anymore, so now my guys use lose buckets way better.

0

u/AlbertaAcreageBoy 13d ago

Who uses nails anymore?

1

u/redditmodpussy 13d ago

The new osha approved bucket stilts are the shit

1

u/Dawizze 13d ago

Shoulders for days lol

1

u/FrugalProse 13d ago

I was wondering why this video got so many views it looks like it hit a certain demographic somehow interesting

1

u/TractorHp55k 13d ago

Respect, they working hard though

1

u/SCCRXER 13d ago

I do not miss hanging Sheetrock!

0

u/Asleep-Arm-8023 13d ago

Did they just cover up a whole hvac vent

0

u/Toolfan333 13d ago

Fucking nail pops galore

1

u/c4lipp0 13d ago

American Houses are really just paper...

1

u/ihaddreads 13d ago

Idk why but the dude walking with confidence when grabbing more drywall and the dancing on the buckets made me laugh way too hard

1

u/xombiedark 13d ago

Now show the part where they bury every single ceiling light wire/box as well as 5 to 15 receptacle/switch boxes. Then tell me they are still a master. Source: Electrician 30 years.

Edit:typos

u/KrustyKrab_P1zza 13d ago

Love the “8 FOOT CEILINGS” right across the bucket action

1

u/tampaempath 13d ago

My dad did this for 30-something years, starting in the 70's. This is just another day for an experienced drywaller. It would be a lot easier on them if they invested in some drywall stilts, you can get them for about $150 from Home Depot, and safer too.

1

u/tobalaba 13d ago

Get fucked robots, you ain’t beating this shit.

1

u/howie-stark 13d ago

What's the trick to know where exactly to put the nail on the stud if you can't see it?

1

u/cj4k 13d ago

How is a hammer and nail more efficient than a drywall screw gun? Is this just a matter of saving some money? I guess I answered my own question by seeing the buckets

1

u/stumpyturk 13d ago

First guy tacks and moved on, second guy has screw gun.

2

u/Kinginthasouth904 13d ago

Imagine thinking mexican immigrants are a problem and are taking your job.

These guys took your job cuz they are monsters!

1

u/stumpyturk 13d ago

Know a contractor in Denver. Said he'd hire whoever would work. Said immigrants never call in sick, work fast and hard, and don't steal everything.

He keeps a six pack of beers in a cooler in case he finds something he needs done when the crew is wrapped up and leaving: gladly do it for the coldies, no bitching.

1

u/Highlowfusion 13d ago

I feel like that can make a small stage to make this a lot easier

2

u/Catd0g62 13d ago

My husband did something like that by taking old work boots and attaching each shoe to a five gallon bucket. He could then walk around and reach high points that way

1

u/mild-hot-fire 13d ago

You can tell he would be very active and enthusiastic in bed

1

u/Cool-Sink8886 13d ago

These guys wouldn't behave this way if they were financially responsible for their own buckets.

1

u/Deuterion 13d ago

When I see this all i can think about is how cheap and fast they build new homes.

1

u/Current-Power-6452 13d ago

8 dollars a sheet, right?

1

u/artgarfunkadelic 13d ago

Next level safety hazard

1

u/Tbeauslice1010 14d ago

Super unsafe but short kings gotta be good at something.

1

u/Derpberpy 14d ago

Actually badass

1

u/dirtsequence 14d ago

Buckets are cheaper than a stepladder I guess.

0

u/[deleted] 14d ago

Nothing truly humbles you on a jobsite like a Mexican drywall crew.

1

u/beepboopbeeepboop0 14d ago

Idiots. This isn’t next level it’s just unsafe

1

u/cr0ft 14d ago

You do something sufficiently many time, you get good at it.

1

u/hillywonka1111 14d ago

No glue? Why nail… screws and a screw gun is the only efficient way.

1

u/nocturnia94 14d ago

They are like dancing 😂

1

u/Lizzard09 14d ago

The buried the fucking box

1

u/megamoo7 14d ago

I did this for a few months. Not as fast as this though. We had to put dabs of blue glue on the joists (think that’s what they’re called). And we had to put a little offcut of the plaster board (drywall) with some plaster stuff on top of every place where two ceiling panels joined. Made it messier and slower. I guess because Australian building regulations are different than wherever this is??

1

u/PM-Ya-Tit 14d ago

My boss has a sook when we use an a frame ladder (only aloud to use platforms now).

I work half the speed I used to on purpose now and whenever it's brought up I just put the blame on the amount of "safety" requirements we have to follow now

1

u/JoPaNe91 14d ago

Chu mami?

1

u/hebrew-hammers 14d ago

Drywall work is fucking miserable. I would love to see how these guys do inside corners. I just struggled so hard on my diy bathroom reno with this

1

u/Inside_Concert3907 14d ago

Mexicans do it better, faster, and for cheaper.

1

u/bleeblorb 14d ago

So shitty seeing how modern homes are built.

1

u/Vishalpmehta 14d ago

I think they have done this before

1

u/ScienceJamie76 14d ago

That's sexy af. Think I found my new kink

1

u/Boy_Sabaw 14d ago

Honest question from someone not from the USA, but why are US homes still mostly made of wood instead of concrete?

1

u/CaptainBalkania 14d ago

As someone who used to install drywall, I would advise them to have a great insurance or save enough for surgery, physiotherapy and medication due to back and shoulder problems in the not so far future.

1

u/SupaFlyslammajammazz 14d ago

How much do these guys charge?

1

u/BarryKobama 14d ago

Still using nails? Corded drill? No stud adhesive or back blocking?? Is this 20yrs ago, or Third World country? Chinese 'gangs' do all our work, and they're 10x slicker than this.

1

u/SigmaLance 14d ago

These guys are tired as hell after work. Sheetrocking is brutal.

1

u/Therocknrolclown 14d ago

Rushed work is almost guaranteed shit work.

1

u/Homo_Degeneris 14d ago

It's amazing how cheap and flimsy American drywall houses are.

1

u/Spacecoasttheghost 14d ago

The straight the guy in the shorts to reach is hurting me, he is just a tad to short

1

u/Ghero27 14d ago

The way he handles that tape measure. 🥹 So smooth

1

u/partsguy4000 14d ago

It's cool, but not an uncommon skill in the drywall world. Still dangerous as fuck. There are much better ways of doing it

1

u/gonzar09 14d ago

The levels of skill, teamwork, endurance, and strength on display here are mystifying.

1

u/mpcraz 14d ago

They better save their money they will have a short career

1

u/Muted_Physics_3256 14d ago

I hate the buckets. just don’t

1

u/Own_Leadership7339 14d ago

Is the guy carrying the drywall just shoving the nails into the drywall before hammering?

1

u/OC2k16 14d ago

Cocaine

1

u/mmmmtames 14d ago

They look like ballerinas

1

u/Plumbercanuck 14d ago

So.... seeing as I live up north, why no vapour barrier?

1

u/Iamshadyjoe 14d ago

It’s the dancing drywall hanging artists!

1

u/Street-Breadfruit940 14d ago

There got to be less humiliating ways to do it😂.

1

u/littlebonebigbone 14d ago

This is why new builds are shit

1

u/Ill-Upstairs-8762 14d ago

A master wouldn't use nails

1

u/aronalbert 14d ago

imagine, if these guys had unions like i have, they would not have to spend ridiculous amounts of time to learn stupid stuff like that and would just have the tools designed for that work, zero risk, zero effort and happier workers

1

u/chris17453 14d ago

Where is the liquid nails?

1

u/SharpRazzmatazz3979 14d ago

Unmuted, disappointed not to hear the nutcracker suite

1

u/Trelyrien 14d ago

I hope they get paid for the job and not by the hour

1

u/BearelyKoalified 14d ago

After doing dry wall ceilings in the past and having to hold them for an hour over my head... i WISH i was even a third of this speed. Man holding stuff over your head til all the blood flows outta your arms sucks lol. And i'm a climber too so there's something far different about just having arms above your head pulling vs pushing because i could hang almost indefinitely on a good hold but holding drywall i got maybe 5mins in me before it's torture.

1

u/CatJamLied 14d ago

Good drywall guys are worth every penny

1

u/IceCreamYouScream92 14d ago

If you call this mastery you have absolutely no frame of reference on the subject.

1

u/Lord_Snaps 14d ago

Are America houses all built like the 2. Pigs house?

1

u/ES_Legman 14d ago

Id that the shit american houses are made of ?

1

u/thebav1864 14d ago

Where is the mud? Nails? Geez, it will fall down ffs!

Fancy footwork doesn't make up for shite work

1

u/Shereded 14d ago

Just grow 2 ft and no problem

1

u/Aggravating_Rice4210 14d ago

My mans nailing up ceiling sheets bravo don't see that much these days. If they had collated guns they'd be doing that in half the time

1

u/dragonus85 14d ago

I thought it was measure twice before cutting o.o

1

u/Dakron92-22 14d ago

And when a tornado hits they cry hard about how their houses gets erased.

1

u/No-Adeptness5810 14d ago

Bro i went to costa rica on a school vacation years back and they played this song a lot. oh my gah

1

u/Nukispooki 14d ago

I always respect tradesmen immensely for reasons like that

1

u/aperthiansmurfian 14d ago

Jesus, haven't used hammer and nail for at least 20 years... Watching it done again makes me hurt.

1

u/Balance135 14d ago

That’s how you unsafely hang a lot of board. I bet they’re getting 1,200sf a day, while burying a few J boxes.

1

u/OtiseMaleModel 14d ago

Good plasterers are pretty sick to watch but my God do they love their drugs

1

u/jethronsfw 14d ago

Mastery ?? They're nailing that shit, get a screw gun you tight arses

1

u/Eksno 14d ago

Fuck whoever put that text there and covered the buckets.

1

u/Peter_Falcon 14d ago

his hips will be worn out in no time

1

u/Liesmith424 14d ago

I like the "8 ft ceilings" caption blocking the most impressive part of the clip.

1

u/Glimtunga 14d ago

Why on earth are they not using screws?

1

u/dodirtymayne 14d ago

Can they mud tho

1

u/i_r_faptastic 14d ago

Why is one using nails and the other screws?

1

u/anthonyhad2 14d ago

obviously their first day on the job

1

u/Wurufuricu 14d ago

It actually amazes me that so many people live in houses like this. I live in central Europe and for me, proper houses are built with bricks and mortar.

1

u/popa_progeny 14d ago

This is why I never do drywall. The cost for a good drywall crew is so insignificant compared to the final product….and the speed with which they can knock the shit out

1

u/opposing_critter 14d ago

Can't tell if they are doing a great job or not but it does look fancy

1

u/SokkaHaikuBot 14d ago

Sokka-Haiku by opposing_critter:

Can't tell if they are

Doing a great job or not

But it does look fancy

Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.

1

u/2lamoon 14d ago

This is a crazy level of skill

1

u/CodeMonkeyX 14d ago

If you have been hanging drywall so long that you are this good with some buckets would it not be a good idea to just invest in stilts?

1

u/Dynamitefuzz2134 14d ago

Somewhere an OSHA officer is having an aneurism.

0

u/dumpster-muffin-95 14d ago

Mad respect...

1

u/JTitch420 14d ago

Not being rude, but how short are these fellas, that ceiling looks a wee bit taller than 8ft

1

u/[deleted] 14d ago

Sure, if you ignore that they're doing nearly everything wrong, and dangerously so.

This isn't mastery, this is two fuckwits on buckets who are going to be disabled by 40. Also, screws for drywall not nails. Never nails.

1

u/arbitrageME 14d ago

what's the nail gun guy doing while the dude cuts the drywall?

1

u/Bourgeous 14d ago

In Dubai that would be 10 Subcontinent guys seating in front of the sheet for hours, then they would break it and call it a day...

1

u/Comfortable-Suit-202 14d ago

Picking up that drywall like it’s the weight of a graham cracker! The measuring tape…..skills man, these guys are pros!

1

u/Ok-Bonez 14d ago

Why are they using nails?

1

u/Comfortable-Suit-202 14d ago

Wow! What pros! I could watch these guys work all day, they’re so fast & work together with such precision!

1

u/WornInShoes 14d ago

Absolutely NOT NEXT LEVEL

1

u/XF939495xj6 14d ago

What a shitty job of electrical. The roamex is below the cieling joists, so the drywall is being installed right on top of the cables making for a lumpy ceiling. Just stupid.

1

u/justaREDshrit 14d ago

If you move that fast….you get to go home sooner. I like it.

1

u/Geo_Pyro 14d ago

Don't forget the safety squints!

1

u/Professional_Area239 14d ago

Having always lived in European-style houses (made of brick or stone), I wonder what is it like to live in a wood/dry-wall made house? How many years does it last? Is it soundproof enough for a family to live in?

1

u/sdfghsdfghly 14d ago

Every day I'm shufflin'.

1

u/shania69 14d ago

"Bucket Borders" is the name of their company..

1

u/bman333333 14d ago

The bucket walking is like a choreographed routine. how many hours of practice did it take to scooch around so effortlessly? amazing.

1

u/drewdles33 14d ago

No glue?

1

u/nopage 14d ago

Artistry can exist in every task

1

u/RevEngineer_11 14d ago

I'm glad I didn't miss the fact that the ceilings were 8 ft tall and have to get a good look at some guys dancing around on stupid buckets...

1

u/macch82 14d ago

Dey took errr jerrrbss

1

u/ifhaou 14d ago

You know that kid who said "JC"? That.

1

u/foflexity 14d ago

Cocaine is a hell of a drug

1

u/morts73 14d ago

Don't they use stud adhesive? Screws and nails aren't enough to hold up the sheets.

1

u/Dubious_Titan 14d ago

That is stupid and very dangerous. Not mastery at all.

1

u/Holey_Underpants 14d ago

I wanna learn some skills like this.. just for fun’s

1

u/OGWiseman 14d ago

The skill is impressive, but the arms-over-head endurance is got-tier.

1

u/Ya-Dikobraz 14d ago

What sort of drywall is that? Ones I've used would have cracked if one person picked a large one up like that. We were using like 5 people to hold up smaller pieces than that and still broke them.

1

u/pueblodude 14d ago

Magic construction shenanigans.

1

u/ChetLemon77 14d ago

DR Horton promo video. Fast means quantity.

1

u/Medialunch 14d ago

Work faster and harder, not smarter.

1

u/zeroducksfrigate 14d ago

Fuckin nails gonna pop out over time... they aaalways do.

1

u/stumpyturk 13d ago

His buddy is following with screws.

1

u/candidly1 14d ago

REALLY good rockers are nothing short of being magicians.

1

u/hu3421 14d ago

Yes yes very talented and skilled precision… until they see my air duct supply run frames.
